General informations

I write you today to give you some informations in order to prepare our project as well as possible.
As you saw, we are 22 partners at the moment, that's great, but we have to be very organized.
Here are what Daniela and I suggest to all of you:

1) If you want to communicate with a teacher member :
please don't use the teacher's bulletin, we are too numerous ...

a) We can use the specific blog

At the moment, all partners have been invited to collaborate on this blog.
For the ones who haven't accepeted the invitation yet, please do it as soon as possible.
b) We can send grouped emails (please create a group in your mailbox joining all the partners addresses)
Don't hesitate to inform other people if you need help for anything


2) From october, if you want to publish some works:
please don't use the project journal of the twinspace, that's not the place to do it.
I think that the project journal is only a way to shortly inform the other partners that you published something inside the pages of the twinspace.
You will have to publish your materials twice:
a) First inside the corresponding page of the twinspace (precising your country, the title of the publication and the date)
b) Then on this blog :
LET'S DISCOVER OUR EUROPEAN MATH WORLD
http://etwinningmathworld.blogspot.fr/
precising your country and the title of your publication.
At the moment, I haven't invited you to collaborate to this blog, because the projectstarts in October only, but I will do it in the end of September.


3) If you want to invite your pupils on the twinspace:
since we are a lot of members, please build your pupils'accounts as following:
- the country's name
- the first 2 letters of your school
- the pupil's name
eg "francejr.paul" means that's it's a french pupil from Collège Jean Rostand, and he is named Paul
in order to know about which country each pupil comes from.


4) Please don't create any more albums in the twinspace at the moment 
I created one album per country in the materials sections ; if you need one more, feel free to let me know


5) Please don't modify the pages in the twinspace
If you need more pages, just ask Daniela or me, we will do it  

6) When you will publish some pictures or other files in the "materials" location:   
please rename them before, starting with the first letters of your country



In order to win in readibilty, I would like to talk about 3 examples of very efficient (and easy to use) tools you can find on the web:

- SMILEBOX (to create nice presentations from pictures)

- KIZOA (to create videos or slideshows from pics or movies) :
you will also need to create a Youtube channel to store your videos (as unlisted ones) and get their embed codes, that's very useful for heavy videos 

- CALAMEO (to create ebooks from pdf or ppt files)
The usefulness of these tools is that you can obtain embed codes that you insert in the twinspace pages, and that way, you will have a direct readibilty of your works, without needing to go in the "materials" section.

I counsel  each of you to create a free account online for these 3 applications, and to have a look at their operatings.
If you use these applications , you won't have many materials to insert in the "materials" section. In fact, it would be great if you have only pictures or pdf files inside this section.
